Set in the historic village of Quillan in the Languedoc region, renown for Cathar trails and castles. The Modern Boulangerie is situated in the village, built in the 1700's, it operated as a business until recently. In 2016 the interior was completely renovated to a high standard. The Modern Boulangerie is a spacious 3 storey house, with all modern conveniences, 2 ensuite bedrooms, plus 2 further bathrooms to service the other 4 bedrooms. It is located in the perfect spot to enjoy all that Quillan has to offer. Enjoy an evening glass of wine on the roof terrace soaking up the uninterrupted view. There is plenty of space for everyone within the house. There is free on-street parking just outside the door and within one minutes walk away. Enjoy strolling around the corner to the local Boulangerie to get your fresh bread, pastries and coffee for breakfast before you go out to explore. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants just down the road, along with weekly markets held through out the year.
Quillan is small vibrant town nestled between the river Aude and the foothills of the Pyrenees. It has weekly markets with fresh produce and other stalls along with all the shops needed within walking distance from the Modern Boulangerie. Quillan has a busy calendar, particularly throughout the summer months when it hosts numerous free events, such as The Guitar Festival and Jazz Weekend for all to enjoy. Quillan is situated perfectly for exploring the Languedoc-Roussillon region of Southern France. There is numerous activities available, including hiking in the Pyrenees, visiting medieval castles, vineyards, cycling, or rafting in the river.
