Ustronie Morskie opis: Do końca XIX w. była to wieś rybacka. W okresie powstawania kąpielisk i sanatoriów powoli nabierała charakteru miejscowości wypoczynkowej. Dynamiczny rozwój miejscowości rozpoczął się w momencie oddania do użytku linii kolejowej Koszalin - Kołobrzeg w roku 1899. Umożliwiło to łatwy dojazd ze Szczecina i Berlina. Uprawnienia gminy Henkenhagen uzyskało w 1905 r. W tym też czasie zbudowano istniejący do dziś (obecnie kompletnie zdewastowany i zrujnowany) Pałac Nadbrzeżny. Liczba wypoczywających wczasowiczów stale rosła - w 1899 r. zanotowano 360, w roku 1905 - około 1200, na krótko przed I wojną światową ok. 3000. W latach 20. XX w. Henkenhagen było już jednym z bardziej znanych kąpielisk w Niemczech. W roku 1939 mieszkało tu 1681 stałych obywateli w przeszło 400 gospodarstwach. Od 1945 r. miejscowość należy do Polski. Początkowo funkcjonowało pod nazwą Ustronie Nadmorskie.
