Noclegi w Mielnie
Mielno opis: Pierwsze wzmianki o miejscowości pochodzą z 1266 r. Wówczas miejscowość ta istniała pod nazwą Mëllen. W posiadaniu prywatnego kolekcjonera znajduje się replika herbu Gross Moëllen z 1288 r. W 1333 r. właściciel posiadłości Mëllen - Henning Schlieffen - sprzedał ją Hermanowi Damitzowi. Wieś była własnością tego rodu do 1776 r., a następnie trafiło pod zarząd wierzycieli. W 1804 roku Mielno zakupił ród Schmelingów. Do rozwoju Mielna jako kąpieliska przyczynił się Max von Schmeling – wówczas najsłynniejszy europejczyk, który w 1936 r. pokonał przez nokaut króla światowego boksu Joe Louisa i został mistrzem świata wszechwag. Max von Schmeling był również prezesem Mieleńskiego Związku Kąpielowego, popierał inicjatywę budowy pływalni z podgrzewaną wodą. Do wsi zaczęli przyjeżdżać pierwsi letnicy w roku 1830. Warto przypomnieć, że do 1881 r. obowiązywał zakaz wspólnych kąpieli kobiet i mężczyzn. Kobiety kąpały się z reguły od 8:00 do 10:00 rano i od 13:00 do 15:00, mężczyźni zaś od 6oo do 8oo i od 17:00 do 19:00. W szkołach i kościołach publiczne kąpiele porównywano do rozpusty i nadużywania alkoholu. W roku 1897 Mielno odwiedziło ponad 500 osób. Następne lata przynosiły stały wzrost liczby turystów i rozwój turystyczny Mielna. Goście tu przybywający mogli korzystać z hoteli i prywatnych pensjonatów. Noclegi oferowali także mieszkańcy willi oraz właściciele wiejskich domków. Mielno jako uzdrowisko, posiadało bogatą ofertę rozrywkową: począwszy od koncertów na świeżym powietrzu, po rejsy stateczkiem na jeziorze Jamno oraz lecznicze gorące kąpiele.
